We are grateful to many STAGE e. V. members and friends who joined us yesterday (February 21) to celebrate the 2026 Lunar New Year. The date coincided with the International Mother Language Day. We gathered at St. Martin Church’s community center, with approximately 50 adults, 7 teenagers, and 5 children and represented 7 distinct mother tongue cultures. We exchanged New Year greetings in our respective languages (Taiwanese, Mandarin, German, Hindi, Spanish, Russian, Korean), creating a joyous atmosphere.
Calligraphy, Spring Festival couplets, paper cutting, handmade clay crafts, and puppet theater—each of these activities represented traditional art forms and promoted cultural exchanges.
Adding to the feast were everyone’s signature dishes, desserts, and fruits, plus dumplings we all made together, making the gathering on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year a bountiful and delicious celebration with fine culinary culture.
With the arrival of the fifth day of the new year, life, work, and studies resume their normal rhythm after the New Year. May the New Year of the Horse brings us smooth strides and vigorous momentum from start to the end of the year. May each day brings the joy of experiencing life, good health and vitality.
